Happy (almost) Friday the 13th, and Happy Holidays!
Each year, I like to share important information about holiday shipping for my shop, and this year is no different! There are some significant updates to share with you today, so let’s get to it!
Holiday Order Deadline
This year, I’m setting a hard deadline for orders. The last day to place an order in my shop will be Monday, December 16th. This ensures I can ship all open orders by the USPS Ground Advantage service deadline of December 18th, which is the USPS deadline for delivery by December 25th to domestic addresses.
This change not only allows orders to arrive on time, but also gives me the space to take a much-needed break and reflect on the future of my shop, my workflow, and even my mental and physical space.
Closing for the Holiday Season
For the first time ever, I’ll be closing my shop during the holiday season. After December 16th, I’ll be shutting it down entirely to focus on reassessing its future. To be totally honest, I’m unsure what the shop will look like moving forward! I plan to evaluate as early as January or potentially much later–or even not at all! Essentially, I’m trying to give myself as much flexibility as possible in hopes it will free me up to explore this with as clear a head as possible.
Regarding digital patterns, I’m still in the process of deciding whether to keep them available during the pause. I’ve never paused this iteration of my shop and so I’m not even sure whether it’ll be easier for me to leave those up or take them down along with everything else. If it’s easier to leave them up, I will; if it’s easier to take them down, I’ll do that instead.
We’ll find that out together next week!
Updates to the Hopebroidery Box
I have closed the Hopebroidery Box to new subscribers and have placed all auto-renewals for existing subscribers on an indefinite pause. I’ll be focusing on fulfilling any remaining orders for existing subscribers, and then assessing the future of the box itself. After several years of creating a brand new embroidery kit every single month, it’s time for me to take a break and look forward to something new!
Making Space
